For instance, while you may be creating emails and designing landing pages within HubSpot, you might be posting on social media using their individual platforms. By doing so, your social media posts won't appear in the Campaigns section; they'll only register as traffic under Social or via UTM tracking codes.

However, if you create and publish social posts directly within HubSpot and link them to your campaign, you'll be able to view all posts within the campaign tool along with their respective metrics.

How to Create a HubSpot Campaign:

Step 1: Create your campaign

  1. Navigate to Campaigns: In your HubSpot dashboard, go to Marketing > Campaigns > Campaigns.
  2. Click Create Campaign: Choose a campaign type that aligns with your goals—awareness, lead generation, or sales.
  3. Enter Campaign Details: Fill in the campaign name, objective, start and end dates, and other relevant information.
  4. Save and Create: Click Save and then Create to initiate your campaign.

Step 2: Add budget and description to your HubSpot Campaign

  1. In the upper right, click the Actions menu and Edit Details.
  2. In the dialog box, enter a Budget and Notes, then click Save.

Step 3: Add goals to your HubSpot Campaign

  1. In the upper right, click the Actions dropdown menu and select Edit Goals.
  2. In the dialog box, enter goal numbers for Sessions, New Contacts, and Influenced Contacts.
  3. Click Save.

How to Add Assets and Content to Your HubSpot Campaign:


  1. Access Campaign Dashboard: Go to your campaign dashboard and click Edit Campaign.
  2. Add Assets: Under the Assets tab, you can add landing pages, emails, ads, and other marketing materials.
  3. Create Content: Use HubSpot's content creation tools to design compelling content that resonates with your target audience.
  4. Associate with Campaign: Ensure all assets are associated with the campaign for seamless tracking and reporting.
